Boxcar Whiskey

Looking for the ultimate whiskey experience? Our Boxcar Whiskey program lets you participate hands-on in the special alchemy of making small batch Bourbon, Rye and Single Malt. With our guidance, you’ll take the wheel mashing, fermenting, distilling and barrel ageing your very own Liquid Gold.

Gate 11 Distillery offers many advanced and unique features for small batch whiskey production including:

• Quality corn, barley and rye sourced directly from select Tennessee growers
• Specialty yeast options depending upon the whiskey type
• Artisan-built small batch mashing and fermentation equipment
• Artisan-built pot reflux still
• Advanced heads cut gas chromatography analysis
• Barrel ageing on-site in our temperature-controlled boxcar barrelhouse

Gate 11 schedules production of Bourbon, Rye and single Malt whiskeys between September and April each year. For an enrollment fee of $500, you will receive: a case of twelve personally labeled 375 ml bottles of your whiskey; an invitation for you and a guest to an Early Release tasting and a Grand Release party for your whiskey at Gate 11 cocktail bar and the opportunity to pitch in and help our distillers with the production process.
