Aspiring to make a wide range of premium craft spirits in a hand-built distillery is certainly ambitious and perhaps a bit untethered.  We think it’s only real madness if you can’t pull it off. At Gate 11, we put real craft in every pour and real artisan values and approach in every choice we make. Come in for a unique distillery tour experience and see what we mean.

Distillery Tours

For those of you who just love high spirits, we invite you to come by our distillery for a tour, and to see these stills in all of their glory. Our current schedule is:

Monday – Thursday  – 1 pm and 2 pm

Friday – 1 pm, 2 pm and 3 pm

Saturday – 1 pm, 2 pm, 3 pm, 4 pm and 5 pm

We recommend that you call Bill at (423) 762-4763 to guarantee a  spot. We also accept tour walk-ins as space allows.  

Tours cost $14 per person and includes a tasting of our award-wining vodka, gin, rum, absinthe, agave and whiskey. Regular tours are limited to groups of eight at a time. Auto-gratuity applied for groups of six and greater. Bottles of our spirits, cocktails and other merchandise are available for purchase after the tour. Tour participants qualify for a 10% discount on bottle sales.

Every drop of our spirits is a mix of science and taste — crafted as an indulgence, a ritual, a small moment of delight in your day. Come take a tour with us!

For those of you who love engineering:

  • Our 4 Inch Column Still is used to distill neutral base spirits for Gate 11 Vodka and Gin. The continuous still system features copper packing with an exceptionally high surface area, giving the column over 40 equivalent stages of separation.
  • Our two 12 Liter Glass Reflux Stills is where many of our most special flavors are created. We use this still for botanical extracts like juniper, lemon verbena and orris root used in Gate 11 Gin. Using a different set of botanicals, we use this still for our absinthe distillations. And this still also shapes the flavor profile of some our rum components, through batch reflux distillation.
  • Our 475 Gallon Hybrid Reflux Pot Still is used for batch whiskey and agave distillations. This still contains both bubble-cap tray sections as well as packed column sections. It is used both for stripping runs as well as final cuts runs for these spirits.

Tues – 1 pm to 5 pm

Wed – 1 pm to 5 pm

Thur: 1 pm to 10 pm

Fri – 11 am to 11 pm

Sat –  11am to 11pm

Sun – 12 noon to  7 pm

We are serving cocktails at our indoor and outdoor cocktail bars overlooking the Chattanooga Choo Choo engine and our spacious covered patio. You take your cocktails with you as wander around the Choo Choo gardens since the entire area is Open Container.
