Gate Eleven Gin - An Elevated Presentation

We knew that gin was going to feature prominently in the Gate Eleven spirits portfolio from the very beginning but we honestly had no idea how well it would be received. Based upon the awards it has received over the past three years, Gate Eleven Gin is objectively one of the very best gins in the US. This summer, we are giving its packaging presentation a well deserved upgrade.

We spent three years researching, testing and evaluating different gin prototypes  in our hand-built tin shack on the side of a ridge above Big Soddy Creek. It was in this small pilot operation that we developed the unique, copper-intensive distillation  strategy used to make Gate Eleven Gin.  More  importantly, it was here that we created the specific botanic blend which we still use today - unchanged from its original formulation.

Gate Eleven Gin is a botanical gin for sure but one with a carefully crafted balance so that no one botanic overpowers the others. Intentionally not juniper-forward and with subtle citrus and spice notes that consistently delight the taste.

We distill Gate Eleven Gin in glass reflux stills with dedicated columns that hold a special type of copper packing. The distillates are collected in ice bath receivers to assure that no precious volatiles are lost.  This gin has found universal praise from gin fans and has an astonishingly high conversion rate among gin haters.

To celebrate this accomplishment, we have just completed a new packaging design to elevate the look and feel of Gate Eleven Gin to match its other recognized qualities.  The new packaging design features a larger, richer looking  label which more prominently utilizes the vintage Chattanooga road and railway map that has been the subtle background of many of our previous label designs. The new bottle is a heavier, more substantial version of our classic, bartender-friendly clear vodka bottle. There is a new closure as well - a wooden bartop with an engraved Gate 11 logo.

We are proud that our gin development efforts have paid off so well.  Ask for Gate Eleven Gin at your favorite restaurants, bars and retail stores. Same delicious “Garden in a Glass” experience with a new packaging look.
